Jesus says in John 4:23-24, "But the hour is coming, and now is, when true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth, for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is a spirit and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth."

Come out of the world

I have come to bring strife and division

I was watching a health video last night. It was called the “ War on health”.  As I watched it, I came to realize why God had chosen a path for me that lead away from conventional medicine, in order to receive my healing. Although, I do admit that I am not cured, but my pain levels are so low that they only become an occasional nuisance know. A clear reminder to me,   that His grace is sufficient for me.

As I continued to watch this video, the narrator began to talk about all of the organic farmers and dairy owners that have been arrested, for no other reason than the simple fact that they believed that the doorway to ultimate health was through our food. As a result, they where not spraying the food they grew with chemicals. Nor where the dairy farmers giving their cows antibiotics.  Many of these farmers and dairy owners were Amish. In other words, those quite people that make wonderful quilts and furniture. Those quite isolated people that do not even vote, and most do not even own a car. And yet, they being persecuted for their simple beliefs. More to the point, they were considered a source of rebellion against conventional medicine with in this country that must be nipped in the bud.

I had for some time, been seeing the Lords hands at work in the church. He is dividing the chaff from the wheat, but up until that moment that I was watching that video, had I not realize that divisions was also effecting the world in general. We are being divided not into different camps by religious beliefs; we are being divided into two camps. One camp consists of those that believe strongly in the worldly systems and obeys its mandates without questions (darkness).  The second camp consisted of those that are not giving up their freedom of choice in order to fit in (light). There are Christians living in both camps.

Matthew, chapter 13:24-29...Here is another story Jesus told: "The Kingdom of Heaven is like a farmer who planted good seed in his field. But that night as everyone slept, his enemy came and planted weeds among the wheat. When the crop began to grow and produce grain, the weeds also grew. The farmer's servants came and told him, `Sir, the field where you planted that good seed is full of weeds! "An enemy has done it!' the farmer exclaimed." `Shall we pull out the weeds? they asked.  "He replied, `No, you'll hurt the wheat if you do. Let both grow together until the harvest. Then I will tell the harvesters to sort out the weeds and burn them and to put the wheat in the barn."

That describes what happens to our souls in the spiritual realm. Does this scripture apply to us now and in the physical realm?
I believe it does! Jesus said that he came to divide us...Luke chapter 12: 51 “Do you think I have come to bring peace to the earth? No, I have come to bring strife and division!”

James 4:4 "... Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God." James confronts those who adopt the world's set of values to gratify their worldly wants, and at the same time claim to be serving God - he uses shock treatment, challenging their willingness to be a friend of the world with the stark reality that by deliberately so doing, they become an enemy of God. This is so logical that it should be known to us. "Do you not know?" - meaning it is not possible that anyone could be ignorant of the fact that choosing the world defiles our fellowship with God, and leads to the path of spiritual destruction.

What should be the actions of the believer towards the world system that is hostile toward God and His people? (John 7:7; 15:18 ). The Bible answer is decided and clear.

    -          Come out of the world (John 15:19 ).
    -          Do not conform to the world (Romans 12:2 ).
    -          Do not love the world (1 John 2:15 ).
    -          Overcome the world (1 John 5:4 ).
    -          Die to the world (Galatians 6:14 ).

Romans 12:2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, in order to prove by you what is that good and pleasing and perfect will of God.
